Libra September 2026

Have you been having intense dreams lately? Expect to feel bewildered, masking some anger, as August ends. Your life, as you knew it, is over. And new life begins. Like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, you will change form. Completely. You, and your value in this world. The surrealness of it all lifts by mid-September, but as for your transformation – give yourself all the time you need. And you need a lot of it. Allow yourself to own September completely and answer to no one. Respect time and nature in its process, and yourself as part of that process. There is no rush, and there is no control.

After a long and confusing time, resolution begins. For many of you this will be a deeply inward journey. A huge shift in – possibly the death of – a major relationship is indicated. Some minor relationships are due for disruption followed by an extinguishing.

Speak to your unconscious — firmly, and as if to a toddler — and lift it up if it goes into too many dark places. Do not pressure or judge yourself all month. You then see more accurately what you do or do not regret from the past. It’s crucial, Libra, to not pressure yourself or worry at this time. I’m going to share with you a cautionary tale which applies directly to you.

This is you – the caterpillar changing into a beautiful butterfly:

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly, with a very small opening in it. For several hours, he sat and watched as a butterfly struggled to force its body through the tiny hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. He peered into the hole and saw that the butterfly appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could — it could go no further. Wanting to help, the man took a pair of scissors and gently snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.

The butterfly emerged immediately and easily. But, to his surprise, the man saw that it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man expected the wings to expand to support the body, but that did not happen. The butterfly was never able to fly; in fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its short life crawling around with shriveled wings and a swollen body.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the small opening of the cocoon was nature’s way of forcing fluid from its body into its wings. This way, the butterfly would be ready for flight once it achieved freedom from the cocoon.

If you knew that you would become a butterfly at the right time, how differently might you react? Your desperation to help can encourage you to take shortcuts, to avoid necessarily painful learning experiences, and to end up killing the very one or thing you’re trying to help.

With other people in your life – as Libras are so apt to do – let them go at their own pace, on their own journey. You’re not responsible for helping them or changing them. Don’t feel guilty.

You also get real about your health and work in ways you haven’t up until now. You take more responsibility and face things head on. Lots of emotional growing up here!

Just remember: no rush. You’re looking forward to great success following a bewildering time. But it is a strange – and bewildering – time.

You have some good old-fashioned luck with friends and associates concerning money. Lucky Jupiter dancing in your eleventh house.

Now – and this is something else some astrologers might not tell you – but the Libra who has for so long suffered without her or his just desserts is going to be feeling some anger at this time.

Embrace it, dear Libra. I know you hate confrontation of any kind, but please just breathe into it, and claim it as yours, as your protector if you would.

Know how much you deserve – in some cases, an awful lot – and quietly, in yourself, lay claim to what you deserve.

And this time, you have plenty of time.

You’ll be fine. You’ll also never be attracted to wounded individuals in quite the same way again. You have been burned too badly, with little thanks for your efforts.

Yes, so you need to get help for yourself. Many, many secrets coming forward! Cover up jobs revealed. You’re free to relax, stop feeling guilty, rest, and get back to communing with nature’s work. Your portrayals of everything, basically. In between, good friends really save you. Some friends you let go of, too, and that’s okay. You need protection now, not more stimulation.

For you, this happens in your retreat house, traditionally the house ruling hospitals and confinements. As soon as the Sun hits Virgo all you want to do is sleep. It’s been a crazy ride, hasn’t it? The recent dramas – yes, involving other people – had you ADD like nobody’s business. Yes you have work to do, this just means you relax, Libra. With less anxiety, you work better. And maestro, you need to work.

Don’t worry about others. You must focus on yourself. Laser beam. But, at the same time, you need to communicate. Your path shines brightly. To teach you how to do your craft. To do what you came here to do.

Let it be art. Have fun with it. Enough obsessing about death and fear of death and loss and change. It’s driving you bonkers. Snap out of it!

In terms of a conflict: play it cool. Ice cool. You really have to NOT care, dear Libra. I hate to say it that way, but it’s true. Only in this way will you allow the other person to make their move. (You’ve chosen a very stubborn, if not scared, individual.)

The self you have sacrificed for your work and public is no longer available to sacrifice. Somehow, you get all the parts of yourself back to do whatever you please. Your vision will soon be clearer. The parts of the puzzle finally start to make sense. Whatever you’ve been waiting for, assumes its real shape.
