You’re feeling sore about your health as September ends, but it’s not something a little rest and a break won’t cure. All that which is your twelfth house actually will save you this month: solitude, retreat, rest, meditation. You bounce back, as always, and after your ruler Pluto goes direct October 15, there will be no stopping you.

But until you get there, try to cultivate patience — and self-compassion. Anything is possible. Even crazy blips at home and with family turn positive for your goals. An interfering person going back to 2018 will be overthrown, and that oppression ended. So push with all your might to make this happen!

October 3, Venus retrogrades until November 13, and your self-care is called into question. Venus retrogrades for 40 days and 40 nights (oh, the temptation!) until November 13 when she goes direct. Your very psychology is changing and is different by November 13. Simplified – and frankly more relaxed.

Every 8 years, Venus goes back to the same area of your chart, so each Venus retrograde is a repeat of the Venus retrograde that happened 8 years ago, 16 years ago, and so on.

Think back to the period Oct – Nov 2018 and Oct-Nov 1010, and so on. What was going on then? Therein lies your clue, Nancy Drew.

Does it get easier, Scorpio? Yes, it does. You know something you did not know before, and that is priceless. You still want your loved one back, and now, as September ends it is time to relax, to give up your famous steely control, and to ask for help. October is all about recovering your personal strength, seeing your life turn for the better, and enjoying some considerable success.

And you kind of have the secret to the universe. (That knowing something you did not know before. It’s pretty super wise.)

It makes for darker thoughts and suspicions, and it’s a relief to let these fade into the background.

People would be surprised to hear that comfort is something you need, but you DO need it, and it’s time to ask for it.

As I said in your last month’s horoscope, you are the most self-depriving of all the signs.

But not this month, Scorpio, not this month! People want to hear what’s on your mind. It’s good stuff. Trust it.

Remember this well as you step forward through October.

Venus goes retrograde in your sign October 3 — until November 13 (Friday the 13th!) — and brings old lovers and friends back into your life, in actuality and through intense memory.

This retrograde also ignites trust issues, legal issues, and relationship power struggles. You could feel a sense of abandonment or find the need to abandon something that you once held as dear. Watch for leaks, guard our valuables and your tongue, keep safe, and avoid polluted environments. Also, be on the watch for people who are polluting to your sense of self or are simply corrupt.

Positively, it offers an ideal time for soul searching and for inner exploration; seek counseling or other advice if you need it. A willingness to give it another try.

But the new Libra Moon Saturday, October 10 will really signal the time to end your association. Also, ironically, to take on more responsibility within a group or community. You may see that you can’t function as well unless you have the group to back you up. Around this new Moon you also could need to consult with a lawyer, or you find the need to revamp a contract or legal status/position. If you’re offered a contract watch for hidden clauses – you could sign on for more than you know.

Until mid-October then, the usual cautions are advised: review, revisit, revise, reuse. Do not buy anything major or sign contracts during this period unless you know you can return it or get out of it if you want to. Double-check everything you do. Keep a back up plan in mind, stay flexible and available, and throughout the cycle think in temporary measures or adopt a wait and see approach. Keep equipment, vehicles, tools, and your body in top running order, be especially safety conscious and put more attention toward preventative health or existing health concerns.

The end of October in particular is the time for contract talks, for professional advancement, for stepping into a parenting or more authoritative or responsible role, or for actualizing something that is dear to your heart. Until then you may have this sense of false starts – but please remember, this is only a temporary feeling.

As the month progresses, risk-taking becomes your new best friend.
