April 24, beauty queen Venus enters your sign making you Belle of the Ball, gorgeous and charming, everything hunky dory, and the next day, April 25, shocking Uranus enters your sign, tearing it all down. Well, not exactly, but you may feel this as you enter Gemini season — (forgive me: my fave Gemini gif!)

The big, bad, scary day of April 25 (going into April 26) doesn’t have to be so bad, nor so scary. It’s still going to be big, no way around that. But negative? Of course not! Shocking and unexpected news comes in. As happy a shock as falling in love, or your property suddenly selling, or a pregnancy.

Or as unhappy as an abrupt fall (causing injury), a loss of savings, feeling a splintering of your very identity. Just to give a few examples.

Please don’t shoot the messenger. You are a messenger, remember. Queen Messenger. Master of your Domain.

Venus stays to bless your sign with beauty and love until May 18, 3.5 weeks, and Uranus stays to bless your sign with disruption, sudden brilliance, fame, and a new mentor for you — in different forms for different Geminis — over the next 7 years, until May 22, 2033. Uranus in Gemini brings new ideas, horizons, gurus. It also brings revolution and change. In the world at large, the last time we saw Uranus in Gemini we saw the invention of the computer, the splitting of the atom, the birth of the nuclear age, and the rise of television and mass media. Negative or positive?

The U.S.A. is particularly vulnerable to this transit because — I’ve always seen — The United States is Gemini rising. We love to talk about everything. Gemini is ruled by the winged Messenger, Mercury. Rules WORDS. Americans discuss, chat, riff, proselytize! From news show hosts to religious pundits to financial analysts to social media to comedians, when do we ever stop? Gemini has a hard time stopping their ever-active minds. (This also makes you the most fun and most funny person in the room.) You hate to be bored. (Secret (NOT): Whatever you are, you’re never boring.)

Uranus, the rude Awakener, thrown into Gemini like a loose lit firecracker on April 25 (- May 22, 2033) blows up the discussion big-time. Now in America it’s a war over words / posts / news, over who controls the narrative, who delivers it, who writes the script (is it scripture or is it Quentin Tarantino?)

Kidding aside, what will happen to the Word? The message? The messengers? (Is the medium the message?) At the very least, I ask everyone not to shoot the messenger. I’ve been shot millions of times. (Occupational hazard of the job.)

My least favorite part: each time Uranus has entered Gemini, the U.S. has seen war. From the American Revolutionary War, to the American Civil War, to WWII. Every 84 years. I know I’ve made some grim predictions for the young country and coming up for the Gemini king, but your personal forecast is not the place. Here, it’s about you. Your personal life. Your own dramatic life. And in that life – in your one wild and precious life, as poet Mary Oliver worded it (born through your sister Mercury-ruled sign of Virgo, September 10, 1935) – it’s what you most want, and what you most want to do.

You’re watching a new self becoming. You’re rewiring yourself. THIS IS HUGE. Essential you must cease clinging to an old identity. Remember, Uranus in Gemini brings new ideas, horizons, mentors. Your karmic lesson is to stay curious without handing your mind over too fast.

My advice? Stay as clear and steady and grounded as you can through this rocky explosive transit and glean all the wisdom you can. Give yourself the best tools for your best life.

Personally, I see you feel as if you’ve been acting out a morality play. If you’d been given a part to play – which, in a way, you have – it would have been the part of a saint, or stoic, or martyr. All the waiting!

But by May’s end you’ll be having fun, believe me. Allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. Don’t pretend to be someone or something that you’re not. You have to be honest – with yourself as well as others. You have to be proud of all you are and all that you’ve accomplished.

And it’s amazing – it really is.

I actually see this – the second half of May – as a very fulfilling time for you. (I do not see the twelfth house as negative, as some do.) It gives you the necessary time to go over the details of a necessary project. I say necessary because you need this time. It gives you creative ideas. It allows you to recharge your batteries.

The twelfth house also rules psychological healing so you may regard this as a therapeutic time as well. And a time to sort out your emotions…and love…

Ah love. Yes, love. The spell and enchantment of love is not enough, as mature you knows well.

God knows, your own daydreams have contributed to this veil of mystery also.

But now, dear Gemini, now, you have the greatest planetary support in years for clearing this up.

Pluto is demanding that you not escape through your ninth house. Pluto is not a very nice, nor polite, planet. He clears out the garbage, basically.

Pluto in your ninth house has had the garbage cleaning happening in this area in rather rude ways, for some time. Something rather “rude” happens, relationship-wise, to you. Of course it is the best thing though it may not feel that way at the time.

Now something in your career is about to happen. And in the same way, it will be the best thing.
