There is so much sadness in the world right now. It is overwhelming. Watching or reading the news has become unbearable. In the midst of this, I received my own unbearable news.
This joyful video below, which I want to share with you, brought me back after being locked away in my own grief and remorse and disbelief.
There could not be a funeral or death notice: she forbade it. So this is what I can do.
My mother RIP. Donna Mary Todd, March 31, 1940 – August 6, 2014.
This was taken of her when she was living next to the Pythian Temple on West 70th Street between Broadway and Columbus where I was conceived. We lived in over 70 homes following this one, including squats and bedsits all over London.
She was the love, and the torment, of my life. I loved her beyond reason. She refused to talk to me before she died. She brought me up on Shakespeare, so we will end with him: “Of one, that lov’d not wisely, but too well.” (Othello).
I lost her long ago, but I never believed I would lose her forever.
Here we are in earlier times, when living was easier for my mom, and I think her love is apparent.
My mom is the reason I am psychic. Our bond was unbreakable, for years, just her and me, against the world. I left her to live on my own (following my clothes thrown out the window!) when I was 16. With both the love and demons intact. An excellent training to be a healer and writer I suppose, not so kind on the personal life…
So, to my double Aries mom – here’s to hope and dancing. Life continuing. In the midst of all that is unbearable.
She taught me to dance, particularly to waltz (her favorite.) Whenever a waltz came on she would grab me: “Let us dance!” And she would twirl me around and around, wherever we were living.
Some dancing in the video are shockers – Gaza Strip, Syria, North Korea – amazing how he got in. War everywhere. We humans are currently fighting 41 wars across our earth.
So, turn the volume up! I’m serious – live, celebrate – and Let us dance!
Because we can. We can have hope and we can be happy. Please remember this when you are going through the unbearable.
I think you’ll enjoy this, dear reader.

Or on the picture of Scotland, where half my mother’s family is from. Todd (once my surname) means “fox” in Scottish. And thus led to Mary Todd Lincoln, and others, all the way to me.
Thank you, my Mama. I love you. Rest in peace…
