Smart – and lucky – Virgos are taking a break right now. Like delicious travel which refreshes your mind completely. Real or imagined. Or like love and dating galore. (January: brings love opportunities.) The rest of us – I have three planets in Virgo – are holding down the trenches. All of us need to be ready to roll up our sleeves and return to work in February.
Let the universe swallow your stress. In fact, it would be best if you just step back, stop revising and worrying, and let fate take its course. Because it’s a brilliant one.
February has long been thought to be the month of expiation and purification. And there is no one more purist than a Virgo.
Bravo, Virgo! You will be in your element. You have learned who you are, and what you’re made of. You’ve learned to accept your limitations, and to trust your higher goodness. You’ve soberly considered your place and position in your world, and in the world.
That’s a very evolved place to be, and it didn’t come without some struggles.
What you have also going on now is truly an expansion of your path – now you have learned what your path is. And, to reaffirm, as you chose the sign of Virgo as your vehicle in this world, this path is that ruled by your sixth work house, already ruled by Virgo.
In your helpful sixth house you have:
The energy and intention of the awesome Sun
Powerful and sexy Mars
Your inner flame, the asteroid Vesta
Transformative Pluto
The beauty and charm of Venus (until February 10)
The brilliant communication and thought of your ruler Mercury (until February 6)
A revolutionary Aquarius Solar Eclipse New Moon on February 17
And your sixth house, traditionally already ruled by conscientious Virgo (so double whammy), covers these areas of your life:
Work, work, work
Your health
Self-care
Daily eating and exercising rituals
Your regimens
How you take care of yourself and others
Your pets
Your service in the world, and your service to the world
Assistants and those you hire to help you
Your humility
Respect among professional colleagues
Your daily chores and homework
Cleaning your house / desk / closets / etc.
Your path to serve the highest good.
If Virgos ran the world (which they do, but…you know what I mean), the world would be a better place, as Virgos fix and make everything better. Tell me how that goes for you, okay Virgo? You need someone beside your object of interest to talk to, and besides, I’d like to hear.
And I’m happy to report that Venus, planet of love, is direct for Valentine’s Day. And moves into your seventh house of marriage and partnerships February 10 to stay for the rest of the month! So it will be a good one this year. Finally.
Bearing in mind that your fellow Virgo writer Jorge Luis Borges (born August 24, 1899) said: Love is only the beginning of a terror we can barely endure. And the first step is not sacrificing yourself, nor unduly fretting over the one you love. Which you have worked hard to conquer. The Leo full Moon on February 1 in your twelfth unconscious house may bring you a real taste of this, enough to feel quite crazy on this day and night!
It gets better. Don’t worry.
You must be vocal about your needs, secure your home for you and you only, and come back to old friends and groups that you’ve known for a very long time. You need them as much as they need you.
Saturn, planet of wisdom and hard-won lessons, leaves your seventh house of relationships February 13. Do not be so quick to move in together (again). Just as one example. Don’t worry. The worst is over.
With major planets moving in your sixth house, it really is your everyday routines, your animals and those you take care of, and all your domestic duties that help you most now. Your best pals will be helpful. So will be eating right and staying healthy.
Think about what you left behind in 1992-1993. Think back to that year. Was that a year full of changes, or what? You had to lose something to gain something, and it was difficult. You triumphed at the end of it, as you always do. BUT there was the challenge of being in a new group to help you through.
Which you haven’t had so much of recently. This is why this month will be a turning point in your life, Virgo. If you ALLOW it to be. Work on meeting more like-minded people. Make an effort to hang out in groups where who you are, your higher mind and ideals are respected and valued. Spectacular results come in especially strong after March 10 when Jupiter goes direct in your eleventh social house.
This February, the nurturing and healing is all in your new, calm, thinking. You will receive deeply RELIEVING information from dreams and your unconscious. And in doing so, you can let go of the past (and past failure) and move on. You have been doing your best – as always – and trying hard – as always – but you may find a flaw in that group you belong to, humankind.
What you will need to do as January ends and February begins is this, dear Virgo: to forgive.
Forgive others. Forgive yourself. Forgive your busy life.
You look very strong and attractive when you do this.
Remember: forgive, forgive, forgive.
Something comes in to help. Delays and (mostly other people’s) craziness cease at work after mid-February. And at this same time, you start feeling awfully good about YOURSELF. You have worked so hard, SO hard, to get where you are, in yourself, and in the world, and you must not ever forget this.
February ends on a joyful note as you go forward with a new and exciting relationship. Oooh la la! You will be happy.

Wan February with weeping cheer,
Whose cold hand guides the youngling year
Down misty roads of mire and rime,
Before thy pale and fitful face
The shrill wind shifts the clouds apace
Through skies the morning scarce may climb.
Thine eyes are thick with heavy tears,
But lit with hopes that light the year’s. – February by Mother Goose
