But – not to interrupt – what might you need to watch out for this happy holiday season?
You need to watch all the short fuses around you. Mars is in retrograde!
Sexy Mars is traditionally the Roman god of war – Ares in the Ancient Greek – and it affects us ALL. Right now, Mars is in a particularly nasty retrograde, making everyone’s fuses extra short, making us impulsive, impatient, fiery, quick to offense (and to offend), and causing outright fights. Avoid confrontation during this retrograde. The retrograde can also make you tired, and you will require more rest. It began December 6 and lasts until February 23, 2025. Our environment is highly charged at this time, and you need to take extra good care of yourself. Take a breath before you speak or react – or post. Stay in peace.
Mars is closer to Earth when it retrogrades so its power is stronger on us. It is not as easy for arguments to blow over or for anger to subside. Mars reaches its peak in the cycle, which is its opposition with the Sun on January16, 2025, midway through the retrograde cycle when Mars is closest to Earth. It will feel like the world is on fire.
Full disclosure: I am most worried about Monday, January 6, an infamous anniversary for the U.S., when retrograde Mars will move into the country’s sun sign of Cancer. I am not looking forward to this day.
YOU need to watch out most for the full Moon of Monday, January 13 in your seventh house of partnerships, as this is when it will be easiest for you to lose your temper. Be careful when negotiating with any type of partner at this time, from a romantic partner to a business partner.

The goat is triumphant overall. The goat is also WISER than most. You should be sewing all your insanely great qualities into a great big coat – and wearing it everywhere this winter!
Your self-esteem needs a hearty cuddle – and a tempting back to life. (You know how great you are!) The past year has really knocked you, but this is no excuse to stay down in the mud. You are being called upon by the universe to show who you are. It’s like reporting on gift numbers. You just have to report the gifts you have. They are in need, and we need them. You’re too valuable not to do your best work in 2025. We can’t afford to lose you.
You can work hard but you do not know how to fully relax. To keep your work growing, you need replenishment – and play that only comes from relaxation.
The full Moon on Monday, January 13 illuminates your partnerships house. This is your seventh house, ruling all your relating with partners. Something is brought to light here, quite literally.
This will also affect business partnerships.
When the Sun moves to your second house on Sunday, January 19, you really get going. Sleeves rolled up again, and looking sexy as hell. (Capricorns look so sexy when they work!)
The beautiful Sun in your sign lasts until Sunday, January 19. So you must use its help. Its help also brings you success in making a ton more money, and in resolving old financial issues.
For some of you, it will mean that you move homes the first half of the year. For others, it will mean bringing something or someone new into your home. For all of you, the picture of home will change.
Opportunities pop up all over January, so not to worry. And if this doesn’t reassert confidence and put that wiggle in your step again, I don’t know what will. But it will, and it does.
