Cancer October 2025

Getting you to leave the house this month is going to be a challenge, as the major planetary forces are resting peaceably in your fourth house of home, where you want to be, too! And there seems to be a recent change in your neighborhood with the Solar Eclipse New Moon just two days ago, September 21. The effects are for days, the results for a lifetime. Maybe causing you to wish to retreat back into your crab shell, at least initially.

Because there are changes aplenty afoot. And Cancer, traditionally, seeks security over change. Many crabs now, however, are looking to change their homes or properties in terms of renovations, and also to move. This would be a big move, potentially involving a different culture.

After higher stakes at work, and over-reaction with work colleagues, you’re ready to commit to a fuller personal life, and to relax more in relationships.

Following a huge bang in the middle of your tenth public house, a full blood Harvest Moon in Aries October 6, galvanizing your achievements and bringing you much well-deserved recognition, you can expect a deeper experience in both your creativity and in your romantic selves.

But for right now, home and property and family is where it’s at and you’re finishing up some wonderful things. In your fourth house of home you have:

You can’t take much more of the domestic power struggles, and you won’t. With Mars thrusting you into a new love cycle and get-ahead program, no worries about striking the right match – just get yourself moving and trust that the road will rise up to meet you as you drive forward.

You may feel as though the stars have dished you out a false start, but that feeling is only despair talking, an ancient sense of defeat. You get a second chance or a completely new fresh start once October truly unfolds.

While in Libra (until October 6) Mercury can also ignite trust issues, legal issues, and relationship power struggles. You could feel a sense of abandonment or find the need to abandon something or someone you once held as dear. Watch for leaks, guard our valuables and your tongue, keep safe, and avoid polluted environments. Also, be on the watch for people who are polluting to your sense of self or are simply corrupt.

Positively, Mercury in Libra offers an ideal time for soul searching and for inner exploration; seek counseling or other advice if you need it. Mercury in Libra can bring a willingness to give it another try.

The end of October in particular is the time for contract talks, for professional advancement, for stepping into a parenting or more authoritative or responsible role, or for actualizing something that is close to your heart. Until then you may have this sense of false starts – but please remember, this is only a temporary feeling.

As the new moon energizes on October 21, realize that whatever you do or say can stay with you – or with them, for some time to come. Although you can have a sense of accomplishment or feel that sense of end of the road finality, recognize there is still more to come. Blessed also by the awesome Sun, and that lovely new Moon on October 21, you can expect a window of opportunity, a stroke of luck, a tip, a financial windfall, an event, or something special property-wise.

You may have had reason to fret over a loved one or family member, but now is the end of it, I promise you. Meaning no more fretting until December. While I’m on this bandwagon (the Cancer-relax-bandwagon), let me say that the past two years you have done an extraordinary job. Being hit by one thing after another for a straight two years is no easy matter. But now let’s turn to those forgotten parts of yourself.

Your body, for one. How you take care of it, for another. Its pleasures. Temporary feelings of contentment would even suffice! As the caretaker that you are, you DO need to turn this care to yourself, you know. A new life is calling to you, and you start to heed that call now. Love and sexual matters will make you happier than you expected by the end of 2025. Whatever you expect (or even dread) now.

As you get into the swing of October life becomes more playful, and you will – yes you will – almost forget how to worry! It’s all good news, dear Cancer.
