It is shocking how, even with Saturn pressing you against the wall, in the last hour you triumph: inspiring, enjoying the love, chuckling, and smelling like the sweetest of roses. How do you do it? Your ruler, lucky Jupiter, is how. Do or die, armed with little more than brilliant ideas and visionary zeal. Relishing in the social scene popping up around you. Also one or two nice male-like protectors are helpful…

I am happy you have someone watching your back, whether it be god or mortal, because a Saturn transit is a tough one. You are pushed to the very limit.

My only concern is your health and not burning out from all you give yourself to do. Sagittarius is about galloping fearlessly forward with little thought of falling. Saturn, on the other hand, is all about caution, waiting, measuring, learning from past mistakes and some terrible falls. Two complete opposites.

You will be wrestling with these two forces, like dueling conjoined twins, deciding how much to let one go first, then the other. This is about you mastering control of this dual action. Striking a healthy balance. Or your body – the first house – will suffer.

The poet Edna St. Vincent Millay was born with Saturn in Sagittarius. She is the famous creator of burning the candle at both ends in her poem —

My candle burns at both ends;
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends—
It gives a lovely light!

She lived a lovely light but not for long, dying at the early age of 58. So, not to freak you out, but you gotta get a handle on this! You are a fire sign after all, burning with ideas and creativity, a flame to inspire others. AND we want to keep you around for a long time, got it?

Another great artist I must bring up – pure Sagittarius Sun Jimi Hendrix, born November 27. His massive talent and famous “Are you experienced?” lasted until the age of 27.

All prodigiously gifted artists, mostly musicians, who died at the age of 27. Staggering list: Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jean Michel Basquiat, Brian Jones.

Why 27? My hypothesis is because 27 is right before one’s Saturn Return. They stopped before dealing with Saturn. For whatever reason.

Saturn is not only bad news, however. That which Saturn rules is where you can become a master. Top of your field. Doing Saturn right is what produces the true masterpieces.

Happier and easier decisions arise now about home and property. You are blessed and protected here, too! Yay!

Body-wise and health-wise, this new moon at the beginning of March may bring up issues with your breasts, stomach, chest, and alimentary canal (all that which Cancer, traditionally ruler of the fourth house, rules.) How you are mothering – or not mothering – yourself. A refusal to nourish the self. How you are putting everyone else first. What are you stomaching that is just too much? Get if off your chest, Sag! How you are taking in life. As the universe only brings things up so you can deal with them and heal them, this, too, will be a marker for you – where to pay attention.
