Venus, planet of beauty, is in Leo – making Leo / you beautiful. This is your most beautiful time of the year, until September 5, after which Venus is in your second house, blessing your finances. And then – it’s all about money.

Money, money, money: you can make a lot of it this September. Your second financial house is all in the news. For better or worse. So make a fortune and achieve what you set your mind to, as long as you stay somewhat practical. After September 5, Venus takes even better care of it. Venus adds to your general well being, self-love, and confidence. So don’t cry – for long – over lost dreams and friends. Your future is calling you. From a new direction.

Plan your diary accordingly. (Just one of many very good uses of astrology.) Plan to use this time – until September 5 – doing whatever feeling beautiful makes you feel like doing – going on dates, having your professional headshots done, impressing someone you want, walking slowly along the beach, etcetera. Many admiring looks come your way.

Then, after September 5, concentrate on refilling your coffers. Most of you like to spend – way too much. You’re generous, too – and you spend on others.

But think, you only need more money than other people because you spend more money than other people. What if you saved? Quelle horreur! Just a suggestion, Leo. Benjamin Franklin, founding father, said, A penny saved is a penny earned. That’s an interesting way to look at it.

But in any case, saving may be a moot cause, because you have the chance to make much more money this September than at any other point in the next year. And I’m sure you do have to refill your coffers. Holidays and vacations certainly deplete them.

This latest one, however, affected your very body and presence in the world. Feel grateful, Leo, as it will ultimately be for the best, cutting something out that was not helping your progress. You’ll be able to cut an expenditure that was spiraling out of control, and / or that had outlived its usefulness.

And how does your mega fortune come about?

Time to honor all the hidden parts of yourself.

For instance, you may suddenly feel yourself experiencing anxiety over a choice you have recently made.

It is perfectly understandable that you would feel this way now, sweet lion.

Rather than stressing about it, take time away from the situation. Take long walks (by yourself.) You have not had a certain part of you to yourself for a while now.

I repeat: Do not stress about it.

Woo your distant self. That self that seems to have been buried in the background for the last two years. Oh, Leo! What a loss that was! And yet – of course, necessary, for the growth of what you had to give to others.

Leo is the most generous sign, hands down. No doubt there.

So when Leo becomes isolated, the universe intervenes.

Remember that the universe revolves around your ruler the Sun, not the other way round. You’re meant to be very much in the world with us, dear Lion.

Jupiter is in your ninth house of spreading your wings. Chiron, your lingering grief, is also in here, both in retrograde. It may be time, dear Leo, to step off the stage, just for a teensy bit and woo and restore yourself.

Short trips are the answer. And your words. Your words are magic. So don’t let someone’s freak-out concern you. Let them be. You concentrate on your own self-expression. Don’t worry about anything else. Your excellent work rewards will be triple whammy.

Even more, best yet, I see no solitary Leos by next year, 2023. Isn’t that a trip? How could all the Leos in the world have connected with someone by then? Easy. Let me tell you.

You’ll feel a temporary loss after September 5 when Venus exits your sign. Remind yourself it gets worse before it gets better. Darkest before dawn. As love is to come, so before is bitter.

You’ll feel the aloneness as truly alone people do. Those without partners will wish for a partner.

You’re going to be called in like Shirley Temple was during the war, to cheer up the troops. 1940s style. The spotlight is on you and how you look and how you – also – used to look. (We kind of like how you used to look. A better look for you. Happier.) Lots of talk about launching you further into the public. Concentrate diligently on manners and graciousness. You will need to make lots of excuses. Some apologies. You have been filming the documentary on you for too long. Look where Leo is in your chart. For you, it’s you. But now find out what house it’s in. That tells you everything!

Do not worry if there are communication glitches in your life. Which there will be due to Mercury going retrograde in your third house of words September 9 to October 2. Just everyone, particularly with siblings, cousins, old pals, neighbors – use your words. Over and over. Repeat so there are no misunderstandings or mistakes.

And the usual – don’t buy things related to technology or travel – don’t buy a new computer, phone, car, airplane, bicycle, and so on – and expect and plan for a certain number of delays and missed appointments. It will not be business as usual for these three weeks. Those of you, and there are a loyal few of you, who have been with me the past 20 years on this site, have no doubt heard enough about Mercury retrograde by now.

This is the time, as this transformation occurs from your private to your public self (that part of you which is shared with others) that you will find yourself becoming impatient. Not to worry.

I have always seen transformation like a snake shedding its skin. Like the walrus who lay his skin in the sun to dry while he took a swim.

It’s scratchy. Change. People do not like to change. Animals don’t like change. It’s a natural, but a very uncomfortable, process. It ITCHES.

If you’re angry, dear Lion, you’re angry. So ROAR!!!

In your tenth house of career and public reputation the unexpected turnarounds and changes will let up for a while after Uranus goes retrograde August 24. Nice relief, and you will feel a smoother road under your feet.

Saturn is the real biggie, the relentless workaholic retrograde in your seventh house of partners, including business partners and contracts, spouses, and significant others, means you can stop working like the dickens on relationships. Just be with people you can relax and be yourself with for a while. Mars has you a bit agitated in the professional circle department. Do you have enough of a community?
