Your work is about to get more international as of Tuesday, May 10 when Jupiter moves into your ninth house. Jupiter is such a massive planet with awesome effect, however, you’ll be experiencing this before May 10 – as we move into May. With Jupiter’s help in terms of the lucky opportunities and money it brings, use this astounding luck and don’t waste it – go more international!

Guess what else happens on May 10? Mercury goes retrograde! In your eleventh house of friends and professional associates, but it zips into your tenth career house May 22 and stays retrograde until June 3. Thus, even though great things will be happening for you professionally, remember that Mercury retrograde there will also hold up results. Problems occur with your computer, phone, losing things; you know not to buy anything technological nor to sign on the dotted line.

A tip, sweet Lion: don’t let anyone into your – new for many of you – home / castle that you don’t want to be there. Do not worry… Confusion ceases and you WILL be clear and motivated again by the lunar eclipse full Scorpio Moon on Monday, May 16 – which takes place in your fourth house. This covers: home, property, early family (often your dad), endings and beginnings, and the sense of your roots.

This affects you for months, if not years, so don’t toss this one off. What you do this coming month will change your life forever. Whatever you do this month, you will find yourself doing a LOT OF. So, plan your actions and energy carefully.

Remember to look up at the night sky that Monday, May 16. The full Moon will give you a gorgeous insight into a new way of leading your life. The Moon will be brilliant and what you receive from it, even more so. It’s a genius insight (as befitting Leo) and it will make you feel much better – as in, it WORKS.

The same day, May 16, Ceres leaves your eleventh house for your twelfth house. Ceres rules nurturing.

Ceres is the biggest asteroid we’ve ever discovered – and the FIRST one we ever discovered. It was discovered in 1801. The astronomers named it after the Roman goddess of the earth, nature, and harvest. In Greek mythology, she is Demeter, the mother who lost her daughter Persephone to the underworld. Remember that story? (It’s one of my personal favorites.)

Persephone, Demeter’s daughter, was stolen by Hades, King of the Underworld, and taken down under the earth to live with him. Persephone eventually fell in love with him, so SHE was okay as far as that part was concerned, but she suffered horribly missing her mother. And her mother still suffers today.

And because she is mother of the Earth, her feelings are reflected in the Earth. When could a mother ever keep her feelings to herself about losing a child?

So Hades had to hear her, and they made a deal. Half the year, her daughter Persephone lives with him, under the Earth. That is when it is fall and winter: leaves fall and die, all goes dark and underground, nothing grows. The other half, Persephone is reunited with her mother above Earth. That is when it is spring and summer: everything grows and births, all becomes light!

This is particularly potent now that winter is ending for many of us.

And so we have the seasons. (Astrology is based on the northern hemisphere, but for the southern hemisphere, just reverse.) And so we have, too, the connection of birth and reproduction. Parent and child at its most primal. Creator and offspring.

It’s no coincidence that Mother’s Day in America is in the Taurus time of May. In 2022, it is on Sunday, May 8, in the earth sign of Taurus.  We’re all really Earth-centered at heart. This sets up your new synodic theme of what is truly nuturing (i.e. MOTHERING) to you.

Was it worth it to hang in there all this time? You betcha!

Career, which has been a bit slow (if not outright confused) will start to zoom ahead this May. As gauzy and romantic as your view may be of your relationships right now, you will get a super-clear view of your career. With a laser beam focus.

So, formulate now, dear Leo, what it is you want to focus on. What you need for your career. What you want to happen.

Love, is, as I said, a little bit in its dreamy stages right now. That’s charming and illusory Neptune in your eighth house.

This can also cause you to look at business partnerships idealistically. Not that there are any problems but be sure to nip them in the bud by being realistic from the get go.

And you will do brilliantly! I see a new project beginning at the end of May and massive success connected with it.

It should leave your mark on the world, metaphorically speaking, and I see you being very proud of your work.
