You long to get out of your rut. Let go, let it rip. What else can you do? Now may feel like the most dramatic, unbearable point of your existence so far. And, like all of life, this too shall pass.
Body-wise and health-wise, your new ninth house moon at the beginning of March (Wednesday, March 2), with effects lasting as long as six months, may bring up issues with your legs, thighs, sciatic nerve, and your liver. Any and all that which Sagittarius, traditional ruler of the ninth house, rules. Are you standing too much on weakened legs? Are you standing too much in terms of everything? This is a time of fear (stored in your liver), and how much you drink (affects the liver.) How you might feel as if you can’t move forward. The universe brings this up so precisely so you can deal and heal. These areas in particular are a marker for you – where to pay attention. Treatment you receive now and over the six months will reveal a great deal.
Cancer is more fiercely attached to their origins than any other sign. And your origins are being sorely tested. All that you have believed in is being challenged. Even if you travel or move a million miles away. Even if you rebel against everything your history is, or was, and do everything opposite, your choices still come from the mother, the motherland, the mother tongue, the mother ship. It is the strongest bond there is. It is unbreakable.
You will go through the worst there is, and you will come through it. You will survive.
Remember the motif of the crab at the bottom of the ocean. Even in death, the crab will still be clutching what it desires in its claws. You have to break the claws to release that which it holds. Cancer holds on and holds on and holds on. Enduring everything. From mother and family, to habits, to relationships gone bad. Loyalty is not even the word for it. For habits become addictions, and whether they are healthy or unhealthy addictions is entirely up to the individual mind and choices of the crab. So this month, dear Cancer, you need to make some very important choices. Utilizing wisdom and age and maturity that Saturn – Father Time – offers you from past mistakes.
Any addiction that is not good for you, you can give it up now. Replace it with a healthy, life-fulfilling one.
Now the awesome news is that you should be able to finally travel. To where you want to go, as opposed to where you should go.
At the same time – ah, the complexities of being a deep, sensitive Cancer! – you will feel like retreating – into your shell, of course – and you will feel a strong resistance to giving up anything you have (clutched in your claws) right now. Whether that is a place, a relationship, a domestic set up or routine.
But you will have to decide.
Just look at this spectacular line up right now in your ninth house of education and new worlds. In here you have:
Awesome, life-giving sun
Protective, profitable Jupiter
Seductive, dreamy Neptune
A simmering new Pisces Moon March 2
Brilliant thought planet Mercury as of March 9
These are intense energies propelling you forward in these areas:
All that is far away and international countries
Travel
Education
Other languages and cultures
Others’ beliefs and philosophies
Religion
Mind expansion
Broadening your horizons
College, School, Classes
Publishing, Academia
Legal matters
And – sometimes – falling in love with someone from an entirely different culture, even country (even planet!)
Looks like, as much as you don’t want to, you’re going to make a move or a big change, right?
At the same time – oh, yes, March has many layers for you – partnerships may give you trouble. Pluto is harshly aspected in your seventh house of marriage and partnerships. Issues of control and power – two of Pluto’s favorite areas – will rear their ugly heads, and you will find yourself arguing over who decides, who has the final say. Over who, what, where.
My best advice, dear one? Take a step back. Stay out of the fray. Refuse to fight. Think long term. Think of what is best for you. Retreat and pause before you speak (or yell). Be prepared to give up something, or someone, to gain something or someone better.
It may feel like the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make. And you know what? It will be the best decision you’ve ever had to make, too. Trust yourself. Believe in yourself.
And ask for professional advice. Don’t be afraid to start on a new tack, or go forward with a new project. You’ll get lots of help for it early March. Relationships sure may be difficult. But I bet my bottom dollar, somehow, somewhere, this brings you back to your true and first love — your mother. In some form. Whether she is alive or dead.
Cancer, you have got to take a leap of faith. Just do it!
Remember: crabs have survived, evolving all the time, for five hundred million years. Your species is the most successful species, the most successful evolution on the planet.
Put another way, the reason you’ve survived for so long is because, like the crab, way down there on the ocean floor, you are always looking up for predators, Chicken Little style. You watch your back.
And your front. And your pincers. And your head.
Thus, I would never advise you to cease from looking, but you can take a step now. Especially sideways, as a good and wary crab does. Crabs never move forward. Have you ever wondered why that is? They only move sideways. So: this March, take a leap of faith SIDEWAYS.
Approach in an indirect and unobtrusive manner, but approach. Hold your breath. Right now. Breathe in. Breathe in deep. Hold it.
Now let it go.
What do you really want?
The first thing that comes to you. This is what you need to approach this month.
Prepare to join forces with another, or others, monetarily. A new company. A new community. A new family.
You’re advised to act quickly and powerfully on an idea or desire you have been feeling. Stay in the moment and respond to your instinct or intuition. Every fiber of your being may be saying this is a great opportunity, even if those around you aren’t as convinced. There’s nothing to lose from taking a risk; this is a great moment in your entrepreneurial growth. Make your move and sort out the details later.
The ninth house, like its ruler Sagittarius, is a very generous house. It only knows how to give. It gives you education, travel, foreign climes, law, philosophy, belief systems. Whether you have fallen in love with an international man or woman of mystery, applied to a program or job far away, are stymied with some sort of legal tangle, your resolution comes this month.
2022 is a life-changing year.
Take that leap. Good and sideways.
And then watch history unfold.
