September is your work month. Use the strength of Mercury retrograde (September 9 – October 2)  and finish up (from the past – retro) what you have to do. You will zoom forward with your creations, especially if working from home. You may be working with others, but you are the leader. Bold ideas must be manifested quickly or, as Mae West put it: He who hesitates is last.

And Aries is always first. The first sign of the zodiac, and first in everything. True innovator, you.

No worries about Mercury retrograde, you’re going to get A LOT done. You have Sun, New Moon, Mercury and Venus in your productive work / service house! How can you not?

Well, here is the quandary. Psychological games you play on yourself. Self-doubt being one of the results you never want anyone to truly know about. Self-doubt – or other self-defeating behaviors and states of mind  – the list is a mile long – is only felt now because you have currently in your sign and first house Chiron retrograde. Chiron, the wounded healer, or your lingering grief. WITH the luckiest planet in the solar system (that we know of) Jupiter! Also in retrograde. Yes, that’s right: lucky bountiful Jupiter side by side with wounded grieving Chiron – in Aries – in YOU.

So, Aries, even though you are the bravest, boldest sign of the zodiac, full of confidence and zip – and Jupiter makes this very behavior very profitable for you through late October – two more lucky months so utilize it! – you have that nagging Chiron right there, too. Your wound, your lingering grief.

That no one really likes you or what you’re doing.

Aries! Really?? No one would ever suspect.  Don’t worry about your secret – it is safe with me.

And thus the answer to any blocks you may feel this September – it is to be found in the sixth duty house: just do the work. Just do the work.

So, whatchya reading this horoscope for? Get to work!!

For some of you, this includes work on your own body – in other words, your health. Use the next two months to really work on it (while Jupiter is supporting you in the first house, the house of the BODY.) Go to that specialist you’ve been putting off. Get that healing / surgery / procedure you know needs doing. Don’t overlook any worrying signs.

But let’s go a bit more chronologically here, starting with today, Moon in Cancer. You want to stick around home. And eat. Fair enough.

Wednesday, August 24, Uranus goes retrograde in your second house of cash, and your finances stop being so topsy turvy, and due to sudden changes. This will be a relief.

Then look forward to your demons (faltering self-doubt and panic in your subconscious) put to rest with the new Moon of Saturday, August 27. The worst will be over. A new beginning is at hand. This signals the beginning of your true healing. It won’t feel exactly comfortable but you’ll be in a better place about it.

Then, Saturday, September 9, it gets even better. With Pisces full Moon in your underwater place, your unconscious, you will experience astounding ideas, dreams, even visions. Use this for all it is worth, Aries creatives.

The sixth house takes over, even more strongly blessed after charming Venus enters it Monday, September 9. An easy streamlining follows in your daily routine. Easy because it will be out of your hands. Feel grateful, Aries, as it will ultimately be for the best.

You also see better health and self-care, with helpful support from those around you. It’s like you’re in Happy Work Camp! And you learn a tip or two from the wise elders. You’re being groomed for stardom, so be humble, be thankful. To the mess of helpers sorting you out…rather like the fixer uppers cleaning Dorothy et al before they meet The Wizard.

Work is absolutely top of the list, and you must push yourself – continue to push yourself – as you never have before, because the upcoming beginnings and breakthroughs in your career as a result of you just showing up and doing your job leave me breathless.

Summer fun, old loves, theater, AHA moments with the kids, including your furry children – that’s all fifth house, and last month, and now you get back to making your mark, creating your legacy. YAY! Just avoid anything risky when it comes to your finances. You’ve been made craz-ee with anyone with whom you share finances, from love partners to family, and this seems to have risen to a crescendo. In other words, you’ve had enough.

To help yourself along, concentrate on future career efforts. Develop your signature specialty, hire an assistant, agent, or magical go-between to bring you more clients. Or better relationships with the ones you have.

After the excesses and drama of Leo in public, a very different emphasis is coming our way now – starting Virgo Month (September) which REALLY begins August 22 when the Sun moves into Virgo. (That’s why all my new months begin on the 23rd! That’s when the Sun usually shifts into the new sign.) Show offs will be out, making repairs will be in.

Virgo is the “virgin” as in virgin olive oil, the purest of essences. Virgo is all about purity, so over September organic healing becomes a stronger force. All over the world. Many crises. That will be the hard part.

For you, this happens in your work and health house. So, especially with the health part, Aries gets a double whammy. Who woulda thunk it?

Now, Aries, I know patience is not your strong point. You don’t even like waiting for the red light to change to green.

You are the boldest, bravest, most daring sign of the zodiac. No dispute there.

But haven’t you suffered enough? From things that happened from, dare I suggest, past feelings of impatience?

I can only say this because I have been advising you, through this site, for over 20 years.

So don’t worry about a technical thing like Mercury retrograde. You’ve heard enough about it from me. Don’t make big purchases, especially related to technology and travel – don’t buy a car during this time, don’t buy a computer (September 9 to October 2). Back up your files. Things get lost. So people are late, what’s the big deal? You lose or mix up a few papers, yada yada. I refuse to be like other astrologers and make a normal part of life – it happens to everyone in the world three times a year, every single year of our lives – into an ominous scary threat-feeling thing.

This Mercury retrograde is from September 9 to October 2. Because it happens in your seventh relationship house, past lovers and partners, including work and business partners, appear. And guess what?

It’s a chance for a miracle. Go for it.
