Change is afoot in your home or family and it is unsettling. Take time out for self-care. Reach out to old friends. People have been missing you. In terms of a conflict – which has absolutely nothing to do with you – you are advised to protect yourself while the storm rages and focus on rebuilding after it passes. You are burned out by the effort of caring and responding and trying to make a difference. Lay low for a while. Don’t make a move. Keep yourself as safe as possible until the drama, even the possible trauma, plays itself out.
Once the turmoil dies down, then you can assess the damage and start to make repairs. The situation can be compared to a hurricane moving through the neighborhood. You can’t be sure whether it is going to pass over a corner of the field or whether it is going to slam into your house.
In the face of such unpredictability, protect yourself, hope for the best and wait it out. Sometimes, an extreme turn of events serves as a pressure relief valve for the unexpressed and unresolved energy that had been building up. Trust the process even though things may seem pretty drastic right now.
The friendly new Moon in Cancer on Friday, July 9, in your fourth house, signals a new beginning domestically. I see it working out.
You’ve probably already been thinking, what is going on? Remember, Mercury Retrograde just ended June 22, but remains in its Storm, moving slowly until June 30. Exercise your patience with family members. Plus there is a worldwide pandemic and SEVEN other retrogrades affecting the rest of your chart, the most ever, at the same time. Very little can go forward in life fast with so many planets and asteroids going backwards. Chiron (in your sign), Neptune, Jupiter, Pallas, Saturn, Pluto, and Juno make up the sum total of seven.
First, there’s a culmination in your career under the full Capricorn Moon in your tenth career house tomorrow, Thursday, June 24. And you turn a corner. One you’ve been needing to turn for some time. Bravo, Aries.
New beginnings on the home front and with family are necessary now, with first a disruption before there can be a new beginning. You may decide on a totally fresh direction, which is wise. What do you want that direction to be in the next several weeks? Because a new one is coming.
For you, Aries – look at your fourth house (Cancer on the outside of your chart, especially if you are Aries rising), ruling your childhood home, property, and parents in general.
The new Moon (equals new beginning) in your fourth house of July 9 stretches several days of its power. Meaning, it is not necessarily on July 9 that you experience it. It affects you any time between July 6 and July 12.
For everyone, needless to say, surgical operations are a big NO-NO during the whole month of Cancer on areas ruled by Cancer: stomach, breasts, and ovaries. This includes cosmetic surgery such as liposuction, breast alteration, etc. This practice was first attributed to Hippocrates, the grandfather of modern medicine. Physicians still have to take the Hippocratic Oath. It is deadly serious.
Coronavirus and seven retrogrades. Sounds like nature agreeing, to keep us going slow as we need to go slow. The virus goes on as longer than any of these retrogrades. Buckle your belt, my sweetheart. Buckle your belt.
But let’s see what gorgeous planets you’re hosting in your fourth personal house!
Beauteous planet of love Venus
A friendly new Cancer Moon on Friday, July 9
Sharp-thinking Mercury as of Sunday, July 11
You’ll be feeling better in no time, dear Aries, don’t you fret.
What all does your fourth house rule?
Your fourth house, traditionally ruled by survivalist Cancer, rules:
Beginnings and endings
Your personal life
Your early life through childhood
Land and agriculture
Security and protection
Ancient and deep-seated bonds between you and others
There is extra emphasis on your home right now, and early family members are so much more in the picture than usual.
You’ve been working your darnednest – and now it is time to take a break. And then you breathe a whole lot easier…
You might feel the need to resist my sensible astrological advice – you’ve been trying awfully hard with a great many high expectations – so in case you do, here’s a story for you for this month. It’s an old story, one you might have heard from me before…I love to tell this Aries story. Here it is.
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly, with a very small opening in it. For several hours, he sat and watched as a butterfly struggled to force her body through the tiny hole. Then she seemed to stop making any progress.
He peered into the hole and saw that the butterfly appeared as if she had gotten as far as she could – she could go no further. Wanting to help, the man took a pair of scissors and gently snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly emerged immediately and easily. But, to his surprise, the man saw that she had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.
The man expected the wings to expand to support the body, but that did not happen. The butterfly was never able to fly; in fact, the butterfly spent the rest of her short life crawling around with shriveled wings and a swollen body before she died.
What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the small opening of the cocoon was nature’s way of forcing fluid from her body into her wings.
This way, the butterfly would be ready for flight once she achieved freedom from the cocoon.
If you knew that you would become a butterfly at the right time, would your struggle be more meaningful? An excess of impatience can encourage you to take shortcuts, to avoid necessarily painful learning experiences.
Aries, sign of the charging-ahead ram, is often famous for her / his impatience.
If you feel held back by a cocoon, stop looking for the scissors and instead look at this time as the perfect opportunity to grow and to change!
Pluto’s transit through your tenth house is your year of graduation. You have learned something valuable about your life path – and possibly your career – at last.
You are reaching your own recognition phase. It will be a welcome relief. You can concentrate on what you want to concentrate on.
Let this time be easy, dear Aries – which may be the hardest thing for you to do – but this is what July needs to be. You will see!
Your energy and health improve, you are so much less burdened in all that you have to do, and a brilliant plan you’ve been hatching – possibly with a friend – is born.
You’ll also hear from a person in your professional circle who has been difficult to pin down. He or she has been absent in some way, and it has been somewhat infuriating.
Aries, for all the bravery and confidence, is always scared that someone doesn’t like them. This is the secret chink in your armor.
Mars natives are warriors. You have passion – and some of it is for war. You are a warrior!
You can fight anything you want. Let it be for a good cause – you’ll always feel better.
Love your Mars. Love yourself.
Now…the only remaining good tip on this — choose your battles wisely. From parents to associates, choose your battles.
It’s a tough time astrologically – and due to the pandemic – for everyone right now.
If things are raining down in your home, you soon see bright rainbows.
